Hunt & Gathering Interiors was established in 2003 when Mary Lotardo~Fortuna owner and lead designer decided to become an Interior Design entrepreneur.  Working as a fashion buyer in New York City for many years and taking on the role of a mother to three daughters she knew it was time to follow her real passion for Interior Design. Her first venture was building a new home.  It was an eye opening experience that created a path for her future endeavors in the interior design field.  Her vision was creating beautiful living spaces that fit clients hectic life style and needs.  Mary’s forte was her ability to connect with her clients and create a functional and beautiful home geared towards a growing family like her own.  Her experience along the way has included designing for a large corporation and achieving several awards such as (3) Coty and (1) Chrysalis awards for her outstanding designs in Kitchens and Bathrooms.  She is also AKBD certified by NKBA.  Mary has also worked as a consultant on many commercial projects including restaurants and office space as well as working with realtors on home staging projects.  Hunt & Gathering Interiors has allowed Mary to provide her illustrious designs to her clients and fulfill their needs with amazing results!

Home Staging

Setting The Stage

An empty house is soulless and lifeless! It’s hard for a home buyer to see themselves in an empty house. When a room is empty, your eye perceives it as being smaller than it actually is. The idea behind staging is allowing the home to show itself in the best possible light, starting at the curb. An empty home will likely remain on the market a lot longer than its staged counterpart.
